Reishi Mushroom Powder

This fascinating fungus has been revered in Asian societies for thousands of years and is one of the oldest symbols of well-being and longevity. The reishi mushroom has a rather bitter, woody taste which is why it is traditionally prepared in a tea or as an extract or blended into smoothies and the like.

Recipes

1. Reishi Mushroom Smoothie:

   • Ingredients: 1 banana, 1 cup almond milk, 1 teaspoon reishi mushroom powder, 1 tablespoon honey, ice cubes.
   • Instructions: Blend all ingredients until smooth. Serve chilled.

2. Reishi Mushroom Coffee:

   • Ingredients: 1 cup brewed coffee, 1 teaspoon reishi mushroom powder, 1 teaspoon coconut oil, 1 teaspoon honey or sweetener (optional).
   • Instructions: Blend all ingredients until frothy. Serve hot.

3. Reishi Mushroom Soup:

   • Ingredients: 4 cups vegetable broth, 1 cup chopped vegetables (carrots, celery, onions), 1 teaspoon reishi mushroom powder, salt and pepper to taste.
   • Instructions: Simmer vegetables in broth until tender. Stir in reishi mushroom powder and season to taste.
