Sweet Fennel Essential Oil Benefits & Uses

Sweet Fennel Oil is obtained from the seeds of Foeniculum vulgare using the steam distillation method. Fennel Oil has a sweet licorice aroma that is revitalising and balancing.
It is often used for PMS and for menstrual difficulties.
Fennel is well known for warming, and improving circulation, digestion, breathing, and lactation.
It is also helpful in the reduction of cellulite, stress (promoting sleep), flatulence, and menstrual discomfort.

• Fennel essential oil can be helpful to relieve cramping and discomfort during menstruation. To retrieve normal periods, dilute Fennel Oil with a carrier oil then gently massage to abdomen daily.

• Fennel essential oil has powerful anti-spasmodic properties, which make it beneficial to relieve the symptoms of colic.

• Another potential benefit of fennel is anxiety reduction. This is especially noteworthy in light of the menstrual cycle.
  Add a few drops to a diffuser or dilute it with fractionated coconut oil and gently massage. Both Fennel and Anise have anethole as a main active component. If you don't have Sweet Fennel Oil, anise would be a great alternative.
